RSC High Speed Platform Product Variability & Configuration Change Manager at Savigliano site in Italy

The Product Variability & Configuration Change Manager supports TDS level product variability definition and configuration change through ongoing projects and product development strategy. Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and evolving the product configuration baseline throughout the lifecycle, and for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the product variability model and associated digital tools (PLEiADE, DOORS, PLM4A) to support modular product architectures.

Ensures robust change management, configuration control, and traceability from pre-tendering through project execution and sustaining phases, and acts as guardian of product integrity.

Define and manage product variants to meet market needs while minimizing complexity.

Establish and maintain product baseline as base Configuration Item List.

Ensure consistency and integrity of product baseline across all lifecycle stages.

Oversee handover of As-Built configuration to Service teams.

Maintain digital continuity and traceability between engineering, industrialization, and service.

Develop strategies to reduce variability through modular design and standardized components.

Continuously improve product variability model in digital tools to reflect changes.

Lead and coordinate Product Change Control Boards (CCBs).

Ensure all changes are properly assessed, documented, and implemented according to governance processes.

Support risk assessment and mitigation planning related to configuration and change management.

Actively support project and service CCBs.

Support pre-tendering, tender, project, and sustaining phases by ensuring configuration and change management deliverables are met.

Collaborate with Product Directors, Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Participate in product maturity evaluations and gap assessments.

Deploy and maintain configuration management tools (PLM4A, DOORS, PLEiADE).

Own and maintain CAD, PLM, ERP, or simulation tools used in product development.

Provide training and support to engineering teams on tool usage and best practices.

Ensure adherence to internal and external standards, processes, and regulatory requirements.

Support audits and reviews related to configuration and change management.

Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, change control processes, and PLM systems.

Proficiency with digital tools for configuration management (PLM4A, DOORS, PLEiADE).

Understanding of product lifecycle management, configuration management, and variant modeling.

Understanding of engineering, industrialization, and service integration.

Analyse complex technical and organizational issues, synthesize information, and propose effective solutions.

Rigorous attention to detail and discipline in applying standards and processes.

Excellent stakeholder management & cross-functional collaboration skills.

Strong communication skills for facilitating CCBs and ensuring alignment.

Proactive in driving change, anticipating risks, and ensuring robust governance.

Support continuous improvement and digital transformation culture.

Experience supporting projects through all lifecycle phases.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
