Job Title: Fleet Support Center Engineer

Provide real-time technical support to train drivers and operations teams in case of faults during service of locomotives.

Monitor locomotives systems remotely and respond promptly to operational anomalies.

Coordinate with traffic control and fleet management to manage locomotive availability and service recovery.

Provide clear and accurate instructions or guidance based on established protocols and procedures.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to railway equipment, providing timely solutions and support to off‑site technical interventions.

Prepare detailed reports and documentation of off‑site maintenance activities, including findings and recommendations.

Analyze incidents and support post‑event investigations to determine technical causes.

Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to support repairs and maintenance work.

Participate in root‑cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Conduct field inspections, special checks, and assessments of rolling stock (locomotives).

• Participate in critical task‑force dedicated to troubleshooting when needed.
• Define standard rules to analyze train diagnostic data.
• Define standard sheets for troubleshooting during operational outages.
• Design diagnostic algorithms in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Review fleet failures, downtime reports, and equipment histories to uncover recurring operational problems; utilize continuous improvement tools to identify root cause and implement solutions with the Reliability Growth team.

• Hierarchical Reporting:
  Fleet Support Center Manager.

• Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or proven experience in railway maintenance and operation.

• Experience in Train Monitoring System development, validation, or commissioning.
• Experience at the system level in railway industries or large industrial plants (e.g., power, naval).
• Good knowledge of business analytics tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Experience in customer service or technical support, preferably in a transportation or railway environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations in railway operations.
• Data‑driven approach – making objective decisions based on data and facts.

• The job will be based in Vado Ligure.
