DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - Community Pre-Vocational - Penn Yan

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is responsible for providing oversight to individuals in the community pre-vocational program. The DSP will assist with preparing Individuals with developmental disabilities for paid employment and/or meaningful community activities, through pre-employment/job readiness activities and volunteer opportunities in the community.

Acting as an advocate for individuals, the position provides person-directed services across various settings. While supporting individuals with community integration, the role upholds their right to privacy and confidentiality through appropriate written and verbal communication. Collaboration with others is essential while maintaining the individual's health and well-being in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Pay Rate: $16.75-$19.75/hr.+ based on experience!

Location: 235 North Ave, Penn Yan

Direct Support Professional Hours: Monday - Friday, hours will vary

Direct Support Professional Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or related field is required. A Valid Driver's License is required.
