We are seeking a
** Simulator Technician
** to join our highly skilled team in
** Sesto Calende**. The role involves hands‐on work with some of the world’s most advanced aviation simulators, supporting their operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement within a fast‐paced helicopter pilot training environment.

Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training centres across the globe, your role will be varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a range of modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge. We foster an environment of learning, development, and progression. At CAE, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of systems to help develop your technical expertise.

Our training centre operations run 24/7, so this role requires willingness to work day and night shift patterns, including weekends.
** Description
* ** Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems within flight simulation systems.
* Review updates and bug fixes at subsystem level in collaboration with test engineers/test pilots.
* Support integration of data, updates, software, hardware, and component exchanges.
* Perform instrument calibration.
* Execute system power‐up and shutdown procedures, including functional testing.
* Conduct detailed fault analysis and carry out corrective repairs of components or systems.
* Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and related systems.
* Assist in diagnosing and resolving simulator and system issues.
* Record and track maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
* Perform pre‐flight and post‐flight tasks on simulators.
* Conduct basic visual alignments.
* Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
* Support refurbishment activities and hardware modifications.
* Complete administrative tasks as required.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** A Technical qualification and/or professional experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field (e.g., technician or equivalent role).
* A hands-on approach to troubleshooting and fixing technical hardware or mechanical problems. This may be that you enjoy repairing computers or fixing cars in your free time.
* Computer literacy (PC and/or mainframe architecture).
* Good knowledge of Italian and a basic knowledge of English.
* Strong practical and analytical mindset with robust troubleshooting skills.
* Ability and willingness to work day/night shifts and occasional weekends.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Professional experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field
* Experience with soldering and circuit board repairs.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.#LI-MM2#
