Your Role and Responsibilities
- Pilot Development:
Develop pilots to validate and highlight the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed hybrid‑cloud solutions. Collaborate with development teams to implement and iterate on pilots, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and expectations. Follow IBM Client Engineering’s Pilot Engineering Method, a human‑ and design‑led approach that solves complex business problems with transformative technology. Collaborate with clients to develop Proof of Experiences (PoXs) using IBM’s portfolio, spanning observability, automation, transaction processing, AI, and security. - Collaboration and Project Management:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and business partners, including other Platform Engineers, AI engineers and project managers, to ensure smooth execution and successful delivery of Automation and AI solutions. Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders. - Solution Implementation and Deployment:
Oversee the implementation and deployment of AI Pilots, working closely with development teams to ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and performance requirements. Provide technical guidance and support during the implementation phase. - Customer Engagement and Support:
Act as a technical point of contact for customers, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback. Provide technical support during the pilot deployment phase and offer guidance on best practices for scaling pilots into production. - Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Contribute to the documentation of solution architectures, design decisions, implementation details, and lessons learned. Actively participate in internal knowledge‑sharing initiatives and mentor new team members. - Industry Trends and Innovation:
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to assess their potential impact on solution design and implementation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise- Technical
Education:
Completed technical degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Good understanding across deployment automation techniques and technology, possessing a deep understanding of hybrid cloud platforms (especially with containerized environments like Kubernetes). - Familiarity with fundamental networking and security concepts, including IP networking, authentication mechanisms, and basic security best practices.
- Communication and Language
Skills:
Possess excellent communication and presentation skills that are engaging, compelling and influential. English & local language proficiency requested. - Analytical Skills with a focus on using data for decision‑making and achieving positive business outcomes.
- Growth mindset:
Demonstrate a growth mindset to understand clients' business processes and challenges. - Team player with a collaborative spirit, able to work across multiple functions and levels within IBM and partners.
- First experience with IT and/or Sales.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, and results‑oriented individual with a profound passion for Automation and Observability, Security, or other cloud‑native, hybrid, or public‑cloud technology.
- Leverage contemporary technologies and methodologies during implementation of solutions using approaches of modern cloud native frameworks (SRE, Dev Ops, Git Ops, MLOps, others) or hybrid platforms like Red Hat Openshift, applying this knowledge to IBM strategic software across the hybrid cloud.
- First‑hand experience with Infrastructure as Code, IaaS and PaaS services from any cloud provider.
