We are looking for a Product Development Specialist to join our R&D team in our Food Business Unit based in Italy.

How you make the difference

The position will play a crucial role in supporting our New Categories R&D Team in new product development projects, from the concept to the commercialization, ensuring Brand Quality and Food Safety standards. The role will also be responsible of technical aspects from lab to industrial scale.

How your agenda looks like:

• Scout and test new ingredients and technologies
• Develop product formulations combining technical expertise and culinary creativity
• Support prototype development at pilot scale
• Define processing and packaging solutions to optimize shelf life and food safety
• Coordinate industrial trials and first production runs with Quality and Operations teams
• Prepare and manage product and process documentation
• Track and report development activities and results
• Work closely with Marketing to meet brand and market needs

You will report directly to the R&D Manager New Categories within the Brands and Innovation Team.

• Education:
  
  Degree in Food Science and Technology
• Work Experience:
  
  Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong passion for cooking and the food industry, with a commitment to excellence. Previous experience with thermal processes (e.g. pasteurization), food safety aspects, and regulatory requirements within an international markets context are considered a plus
• Soft Skills:
  
  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; strong teamwork skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Languages:
  
  Proficiency in Italian and English is required; knowledge of Spanish and/or French is a plus
• IT
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel and Power Point
