Job Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Med/Surg environment as an RN; telemetry experience preferred
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in an acute care hospital
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in an acute Med/Surg/telemetry setting
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop individualized nursing care plans, and evaluate patient progress
- Monitor cardiac status and telemetry; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and per hospital protocols
- Educate patients and families on self-care, discharge instructions, and disease management
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals to achieve patient-centered goals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
