• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department / ED Nurse
• Location: Penn Yan, NY 14527 (on-site) — New York travel nursing job, Finger Lakes nursing jobs
• Contract Duration: 15 weeks (March 30, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (days or nights as scheduled); every other weekend; holiday rotation; 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Floating: Floating to GGH required as needed
• Openings: 4 Travel RN positions available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required (ED, trauma, or urgent care experience preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of acute hospital RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and emergency intervention skills for high-acuity patients
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients and families in the ED
• Perform rapid primary and secondary assessments using observation, interviews, EMS reports, and diagnostic data
• Triage and prioritize urgent/emergent concerns; initiate appropriate interventions and escalate care per protocols
• Utilize invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions for life-threatening and routine emergency situations
• Support relationship-based care: alleviate anxiety, provide information, and address pain, comfort, and safety
• Establish rapport with patients and families during triage; provide frequent updates and coordinate discharge planning and referrals for post-emergency care
• Document and report any suspicion of domestic violence or abuse across all age groups per policy
• Promote teamwork, mutual trust, and cooperation among clinical staff; teach and delegate tasks consistent with licensure and training
• Maintain infection prevention practices and patient safety standards throughout the ED visit
