Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Emergency Services

Schedule:

Full Time Days or Nights as scheduled (3x12s), Every Other Weekend, Holiday + 2 On Call shifts per 4 weeks

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• Current RN License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• One year of acute hospital experience as a Registered Nurse

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and prioritize care based on urgency in accordance with triage standards.
• Provide direct patient care, administer appropriate interventions, and evaluate patient progress.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify critical needs and document findings accurately.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, treatments, and post-emergency care requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient outcomes and comfort during their care.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention strategies and maintain a safe patient environment.
