RN - House Supervisor

RN Supervisor - Full Time Nights

This is a flexible contract position that must run through the holidays.

Full Time Nights (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend (EOW), and holiday shifts required.

The RN Supervisor will oversee the operation of the nursing units under the direction of the Director of Nursing in a long-term care setting. This position requires effective communication with staff and management to ensure quality resident care through clinical supervision and staff education.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee nursing unit operations and provide clinical supervision to nursing staff.
• Ensure quality resident care by teaching and supervising staff on respective shifts.
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers about unit issues.
• Make administrative decisions in the absence of upper management.
• Collaborate with medical staff, department managers, and ancillary services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care.
• Supervisory experience across multiple units preferred.
• BLS certification required through AHA or RQI system.
• CPI certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
