Certified Nursing Assistant – Long Term Care

Schedule:

Part Time (37.5 Hours/Biweekly; 3 shifts/2 shifts Rotation). All contracts must start on Tuesday or Thursday and run through the holiday season, with an end date that is flexible.

Hours:

37.5 hours per biweekly pay period. Contract Weeks: 22

Requirements:

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• One year of experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required
• High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean resident environment, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents' nutritional needs through meal delivery and assistance with feeding as needed.
• Document all care provided according to facility protocols.
• Report changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to supervisory staff in a timely manner.
• Follow appropriate infection control procedures, including the handling of blood borne pathogens.
