One (1) year in Long-Term Care or CNA capacity License: NYS Nursing Assistant Certification

Certifications:

BLS (AHA) Must-Have:

- High School Diploma or GED - One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care experience - NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS (AHA)

Description:

Meet residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) needs as outlined in the plan of care. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within a safe and comfortable environment. Assist with hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination/toileting needs, turning/positioning, and skin care. Complete documentation per protocol. Maintain residents' environment and safety as outlined in the plan of care. Respond to call lights and alarms promptly.

Ensure the provision of safety mats and low beds as necessary. Engage in restraint use under the direction of Nursing. Maintain cleanliness of the unit and monitor for equipment malfunctions. Complete documentation per protocol. Meet residents' nutritional needs as outlined in the plan of care. Assist with meal delivery, tray preparation, adaptive equipment, feeding, and nourishments. Honor residents' preferences and choices.

Complete documentation per protocol. Address residents' rehabilitative needs as outlined in the plan of care. Assist with range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and the use of assistive devices. Complete documentation per protocol. Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to the Charge Nurse or Supervising Nurse in a timely manner. Identify and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status promptly.

Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
