Your roleWe are looking for an R&D researcher (internship) who will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment in the R&D Paint Lab, supporting research projects in coordination with internal teams and external partners. You will contribute to the formulation and testing of new coating products, gaining hands‑on experience in raw materials, application techniques, and performance evaluation. The role requires a basic understanding of chemistry and material science, along with an interest in coatings, surface treatments, and industrial processes.
You will assist in laboratory activities, including sample preparation, analytical testing, and data collection, using a variety of lab equipment.
- Support the optimization of coating formulations through laboratory experiments
- Prepare and test coating formulations, including application on different substrates and evaluation of performance (e.g., adhesion, durability, appearance). Compare new solutions with reference products.
- Analysis and interpretation of experimental data, contributing to technical reports and documentation
- Collaborate in troubleshooting formulation or process‑related issues under supervision
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment, following safety and quality procedures
- Educational Background:
Master in Chemistry or Materials Science - Experience with handling and mixing chemicals
- Critical thinking on causality effects between formulation tuning and observed coating performance
- Desire to learn and explore many different topics and equipment out of the comfort zone
- Preferred experience in material characterization techniques (mechanical, thermal, rheology)
- Solid experience with technical and executive reporting through MS Office Suite
