Electrofluidic Artificial Muscles for Wearable Soft Robots Description
The research will focus on the development of artificial muscles in fiber shape for wearable robots and soft exosuits. The artificial muscles will be driven by electrohydrodynamic pumps such as fiber pumps, which guarantee high energy density combined with mm-sized fiber shape. The goal is to create wearable robots and exosuits for muscle support, haptics, human-robot interaction. The activities will be hosted by the Robo Physics Laboratory (RPL) of Politecnico di Bari, Italy ( (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).
) and connected to the ERC-StG project "Robofluid".
Candidates should provide detailed CV.
Eligibility Criteria- to have a PhD by the call deadline.
- to have up to 8 years of research experience after PhD.
- to be citizens of an EU State or of an Associated Country.
- not to have resided or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the call deadline.
