As an Employment Specialist, you'll do more than just support job placement-you'll help people discover their strengths, build confidence, and create a path toward long-term success. You'll be out in the community, building connections with local employers and creating new opportunities. Through strong communication, creativity, and problem-solving, you'll collaborate with team members, service providers, and community partners to ensure high-quality, person-centered support.
In this role, you will:
- Help people build the skills they need to succeed in the workplace and reach their vocational goals
- Guide people through resume building, job searching, applications, and interview preparation
- Provide job coaching, training, and ongoing support to help maintain successful employment
- Develop and nurture relationships with local businesses and community partners
- Support people in strengthening interpersonal skills and growing their confidence and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and play a key role in Life Plan Reviews
- Contribute ideas for new programs and opportunities that enhance quality of life and expand choices

Employment Specialist
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid NYS Driver's License is required.

Hours:
Monday
- Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM (hours may vary depending on needs)
The position is 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: 18.75 - $21.50 per hour + based on experience!
