Environmental Engineer
As a Water Engineer, you will help shape how communities manage water for generations to come. From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater to developing sustainable supplies and protecting lives through flood control, your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability and infrastructure resilience.
Responsibilities- Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
- Function as a technical specialist or project manager on mid‑size projects as needed.
- Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water‑focused projects.
- Preference is given to local candidates.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Previous experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water‑focused projects.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position. Example:
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng). - Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
The salary range is $86,296 - $123,280 (Pennington, NJ). (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles are eligible for limited benefits.)
