About the Position
Electrical Engineering Intern – Louisville, Kentucky – Spring 2026 co-op
Key Responsibilities- Gain hands‑on experience in design and construction of industrial and utility facilities, as well as general buildings.
- Work alongside engineers of various experience levels, integrate with multidisciplinary teams and architects.
- Learn and apply codes, standards, and software used to develop buildings or facilities.
- Under supervision, assist with routine electrical engineering tasks for small to large projects at multiple phases of their life cycles.
- Apply principles of electrical engineering to drawing development, calculations, technical writing, and documentation.
- Proactively discuss interdisciplinary issues with other engineering teams.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- 2 years completed towards an electrical engineering degree (or equivalent). Preference for local candidates.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of electromagnetism, electrical circuits/networks, and digital logic.
- 3.0+ GPA (preferred).
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program.
- Attention to detail, strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
