The Consumer and Wealth Tax Operations Statement Team is responsible for the production of approximately 4.5 million tax reporting statements and forms
. This team ensures the accuracy and integrity of tax entries and income data maintained within the tax reporting database.
Key responsibilities include researching, resolving, and validating tax-related data to support the accurate production of tax statements and reporting to IRS, Puerto Rico, and various states
. The role also involves daily, monthly, and annual report validation to support numerous internal processes.
Due to the seasonal nature of the role,
weekday and weekend overtime may be required
, particularly during the peak tax season from January through April.
- Validate tax data and reports against the tax reporting database.
- Review tax statements and forms to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support various team processes and operational functions.
- Research and respond to tax reporting inquiries from Branch Offices.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting productivity and deadline requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and internal partners to resolve issues and support business needs.
Qualifications:
- Tax background or experience is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to collaborate with associates at various levels of the organization.
- Adaptable and comfortable embracing process and business changes with a positive approach.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to work required overtime, including weekends and extended workweeks during peak tax season.
