Desktop Platform Engineer

Overview

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Desktop Platform Engineer to join their team. As a Desktop Platform Engineer, you will be part of the IT Infrastructure Support team supporting the development and maintenance of desktop environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Desktop Platform Engineer
Location: Pennington, NJ
Pay Range: $73.68 per hour

• Design and implement next-generation desktop platforms within the financial center environment
• Manage and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows 10
• Utilize virtualization technologies such as Microsoft AppV and User Experience Virtualization
• Package and deploy software using tools like Microsoft Configuration Manager and Flexera Admin Studio
• Support dispersed branch office environments with networking and telemetry tools

• Extensive experience with Windows OS environments (Windows 7 and Windows 10)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Virtualization Technologies (AppV, UEV)
• Knowledge of packaging technologies, including Microsoft Configuration Manager and Flexera Admin Studio
• Experience with VMware Hosted Virtual Desktop environments
• Skills in scripting languages such as VbScript, Perl, and Power Shell
