Test Lead

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Test Lead for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a Test Lead to work within an Agile environment, responsible for end-to-end testing deliverables. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both automation and manual testing, leading automation initiatives, and driving QA governance across distributed teams. The successful candidate will be a self-driven leader who can work independently and take ownership of deliverables, including coordinating with an offshore QA team.

Responsibilities:

• Understand business and technical requirements, convert them into test cases, execute tests, and provide test metrics and reporting
• Participate in the creation, execution, maintenance, and optimization of test plans and test scripts using qTest
• Work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver end-to-end testing for project releases
• Design, implement, and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Java, and BDD
• Work independently with minimal supervision while taking full ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables
• Proactively manage work by interpreting requirements from emails, documentation, and project communications
• Lead QA automation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and coverage
• Coordinate and manage testing activities for an offshore QA team of approximately 15 team members in India
• Drive QA documentation, reporting, governance, process improvements, and adoption of modern testing tools and best practices
• Track testing progress, risks, defects, and release readiness while communicating status to stakeholders

Requirements:

• 7-8 years of experience as a Test Lead
• Strong automation testing experience using Selenium and BDD
• Experience with Playwright
• Strong Java programming experience for test automation
• Experience with manual and automated testing across the full software development lifecycle
• Experience working in Agile environments with Jira
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading offshore QA teams and coordinating distributed testing efforts

Desired skills:

• Experience with Git Hub
• Experience using Git Hub Copilot, AI-assisted development tools, or MCP-based automation tools
• Exposure to the Investment Banking domain
• Experience driving QA modernization, governance, reporting, and enterprise-wide automation initiatives

Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
