L2 Risk Batch Support Engineer

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite Required

Duration: 12-18 Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced L2/L3 Batch Support Engineer to support risk technology applications within a large financial services environment. This role will provide production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and automation for batch processing and related applications.

The engineer will work closely with internal teams and regulators to support batch operations, resolve production issues, and improve operational stability through automation and monitoring.

• Provide L2/L3 production and batch support for risk technology applications.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform detailed root cause analysis

• Support batch scheduling, monitoring, failures, and issue resolution.
• Work with internal regulators and stakeholders on batch support activities.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate operational processes and repetitive tasks.
• Write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for investigation, data validation, and issue resolution.
• Perform Linux-based troubleshooting and application support.
• Work with scheduling platforms such as BOB (Quartz Scheduler) or Auto Sys

• Monitor application and batch health using observability and monitoring tools.
• Participate in ITIL-based Incident and Problem Management processes.

• Hands‑on experience providing L2/L3 batch or production support
  .
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with BOB/Quartz Scheduler OR Auto Sys
  .
• Experience with ITIL processes
  , particularly Incident and Problem Management.
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, ITRS Geneos
  , or similar.
• Financial services or banking industry experience preferred, particularly experience supporting risk technology environments
