10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Our client is forming a new Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) team and is seeking an experienced professional to help build the practice from the ground up. This is a key role that will influence and set the culture and approach for the SRE team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and maintaining critical user journeys (CUJs), service level indicators (SLIs), and service level objectives (SLOs) to drive reliability and improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Establish SRE practices and tasks from the ground up
• Generate and maintain Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
• Conduct blameless postmortems, manage error budgets, and facilitate role-playing scenarios
• Influence and set the culture for a new SRE team
• Drive reliability and advocate for the customer experience
• Communicate technical concepts and stories with confidence to business stakeholders

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role
• Solid understanding of SLI/SLOs and NALSD
• Ability to code in any language
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience with Dev Ops practices and principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate your position with confidence

Desired skills:

• A background in software development or Dev Ops

Pay range: $63.42 - $71.42 per hour
