Java Lead Developer - Hybrid

10 is currently seeking a Java Lead Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a seasoned Java Lead Developer to drive the development of enterprise-grade microservices and high-volume data pipelines. You will lead a team of talented engineers, setting the standard for code craftsmanship while collaborating with Solution Architects to turn business requirements into technical reality. This is a role for someone who still loves to code but also has the vision to lead a team through complex release cycles.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex features, from initial design through to deployment
• Conduct rigorous code reviews, establish best practices, and mentor junior/senior developers to elevate the team's overall technical maturity
• Work closely with Architects to design scalable, cloud-native microservices using Spring Boot and Event-Driven architectures
• Take ownership of system performance, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput for critical business applications
• Drive the adoption of modern Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD automation, containerization, and robust monitoring

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2-3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
• Deep expertise in Core Java (17/21), including advanced multithreading, concurrency, and memory management
• Expert-level knowledge of the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data)
• Proven experience implementing distributed messaging systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Hands-on experience with AWS (or Azure/GCP) and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in RDBMS (Postgre

• Commitment to TDD/BDD and familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, or Testcontainers

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
