Senior QA Automation Engineer

10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a hybrid contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for the comprehensive testing and delivery of complex software to meet business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, leading test planning, and developing automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured within an Agile environment. This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements through comprehensive testing
- Condition and generate test data for various testing scenarios
- Build and execute both manual and automated test suites (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.)
- Communicate test results effectively and assist with defect triage
- Lead test planning, strategy, and case reviews, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders
- Create and manage traceability throughout the development lifecycle
- Implement, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks
- Identify opportunities for automation and develop test automation for applicable test types
- Execute manual and automated tests, reporting issues and defects with clear, detailed information
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Proven experience in UI and API test automation with Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured
- Strong background in manual testing principles and practices
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and source control like Git Hub or Bit Bucket
- Proficient in Core Java for test automation development
- Experienced in Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies
- Lean Agile Certification
- Experience with system or data migration projects
Desired skills:
- Extensive background in enterprise-level automation testing
Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
