Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support a reconciliation project for a sales-focused organization in Pennsauken, New Jersey. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with aged reports, and ensuring transactions are recorded properly across core accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with vendor activity, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post accounting entries to keep financial records current and accurate.
• Maintain the general ledger by reviewing transactions, correcting discrepancies, and supporting period-end close activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records on a routine basis.
• Process and monitor vendor-related transactions while helping ensure timely and accurate payment activity.
• Use Quick Books to record financial data, organize account activity, and generate standard accounting reports.
• Investigate variances or unusual account activity and resolve issues through careful review and follow-up.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting tasks to support accurate financial reporting.
