Overview

Position Overview:

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with maximum profitability. This role leads project planning, coordination, communication, and execution while serving as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of assigned projects from initiation through closeout
  • Develop short‑ and long‑term project goals, strategies, and execution plans
  • Track and document project progress using company systems
  • Ensure project accuracy and completeness by identifying and resolving discrepancies

Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers
  • Manage all project communications and maintain thorough project documentation
  • Partner with Engineering, Estimating, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project scope
  • Lead and participate in project meetings as required

Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage project financials to ensure profitability and cost control
  • Review project performance with leadership and implement corrective action plans as needed
  • Assist with contract review and mark‑ups
  • Coordinate customer payments and manage change orders and back charges with appropriate approvals

Procurement & Scheduling

  • Review final submittals for accuracy prior to procurement
  • Prepare and release purchase orders to the Procurement team
  • Establish delivery schedules and coordinate freight, labor, and installation to optimize cost efficiency
  • Assist in establishing master keying systems when applicable

Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Provide proactive leadership and direction to project team members
  • Manage daily activities and workload of the project team
  • Foster strong internal and external working relationships

Project Closeout & Reporting

  • Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, final billing, and customer satisfaction
  • Review and manage all project‑related reports
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives

Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support projects and corporate objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in the door and hardware industry or related construction field
  • Strong proficiency in computer software and industry‑related products
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Ability to motivate others and build strong working relationships

Compensation:
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full‑time position with competitive pay and benefits.
