Educational Assistant 1:1-Delair

Pennsauken Public Schools is an urban/suburban Pre-K to 12th grade school district of approximately 5,000 students located in Camden County, New Jersey

Responsibilities:

* Operate audio-visual equipment

* Assist with the production of bulletin boards and displays

* Assist with special projects; assist with classroom housekeeping chores

* Correct tests and homework; help absentees make up assignments

* Assist the teacher with drill work; help individual students with their work

* Check seat work; cover classrooms, study halls, etc. as needed

* Classroom duties per discretion of teacher

* Assist with lunchroom coverage; assist with corridor coverage; assist with playground coverage

* Monitor students during lunch and/or playground times

* Assist with the check out of library materials; organize and distribute materials

* Assist with assemblies and special programs; accompany classes on field trips

* Meet and greet visitors in the main office

* Operate various kinds of office equipment

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED

* 60 college credit hours Preferred

* Must pass the New Jersey Criminal History Review Unit Fingerprinting requirement

* New Jersey State residency requirement in effect

Terms:

* $22,006 yearly, terms & conditions of employment per union contract

* 10-month position
