Theology Teacher

Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Faculty Position

Salary Range: $55,000–$62,000

Position Overview

Bishop Eustace Preparatory School seeks a dedicated, faith-filled, and enthusiastic Theology Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to Catholic education and the ability to engage students in meaningful discussions about Scripture, Catholic doctrine, morality, and the living tradition of the Church. This educator will inspire students to deepen their relationship with Christ while fostering intellectual curiosity and academic excellence.

• Create engaging, student-centered lessons that encourage critical thinking, faith formation, and respectful dialogue.
• Integrate Catholic values and the Pallottine charism into daily classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with Theology Department colleagues, Pallottine Ministry, and school leadership to support the school's spiritual mission.
• Encourage and support student participation in liturgies, retreats, service opportunities, and other faith-based activities.
• Assess student learning through a variety of instructional and evaluative methods.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
• Support the broader mission and life of Bishop Eustace through active involvement in the school community.

Qualifications

• Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field required.
• Master's degree in Theology, Religious Education, or a related discipline preferred.
• Teaching certification and/or previous high school teaching experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Catholic doctrine, Scripture, and Church traditions.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with high school students.
• Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and the values of Bishop Eustace Preparatory School.
• Salary: $55,000–$62,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
