Specializing in automation, machine design, material handling, and custom tooling, we build precision systems that power some of the world’s most demanding manufacturing environments. Our team is driven by a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and bold problem-solving — and every engineer here plays a direct role in what we deliver.

The Role

We’re looking for a Controls Engineer I to join our Pennsauken, NJ team. In this role, you’ll design and implement servo motion controllers, automation systems, and other critical components for our specialized machinery. From programming and prototyping to testing and customer collaboration, you’ll help bring high-performance systems to life that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Development:
Create electrical and electromechanical systems, including servo motors, motion controls, and high-precision feedback devices for Glebar and Tridex precision machinery.
  • Problem-Solving:
Analyze designs for functionality, cost-effectiveness, and production readiness — estimating cost, reliability, and safety factors.
  • Customer

    Collaboration:

Work directly with clients to define requirements and develop solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork:
Partner with engineers and stakeholders to implement machine design changes.
  • Testing & Debugging:
Build, test, and modify product prototypes, isolating and resolving defects to ensure peak performance.
  • Project Coordination:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate assigned engineering work and projects, controlling process efficiency throughout.
Required Skills
  • PLC design and programming proficiency
  • Mitsubishi Ladder Programming (FX3/FX5) or equivalent experience with Beckhoff, Fanuc, Siemens, or Allen Bradley systems
  • HMI design and development experience
  • Strong skills in automation and robot programming
A Plus
  • Industrial robotics and process controls familiarity
  • .NET C or C# programming knowledge
  • Vision systems integration experience
  • Machine tool design familiarity
  • Autodesk Inventor, Inventor Vault, Solid Works, and/or Epicor experience
  • Previous engineering project management experience
Qualifications
  • Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Controls Engineering is preferred. However, candidates with a degree in a related field or equivalent hands‑on experience in controls and automation will also be considered. Verification of education may be requested; candidates should be prepared to provide a degree or transcripts.
  • Experience:

1+ years of hands‑on experience in product design and development within an automated manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands and fingers. Occasional climbing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
