Overview
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the Manufacturing industry, is seeking an Operational Plant Manager to join their team. As an Operational Plant Manager, you will be part of the manufacturing leadership supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.
What'sthe Job?
- Oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Lead and manage a team of supervisors and employees, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process refinements and 5S principles.
- Coordinate production schedules, manage inventory levels, and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, GMPs, and industry regulations, actively participating in safety committees.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive manufacturing management experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record managing at least 30 employees, including supervisors and temporary staff.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with bilingual proficiency preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple production lines, and work overtime as needed.
