Role DescriptionThe CNC Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pennsauken, NJ, responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to produce precision components for advanced technical equipment. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, developing CNC programs, selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures, and configuring machining parameters for milling and related operations. The role involves performing test runs, inspecting parts to ensure they meet specifications, and adjusting programs or setup as needed to optimize quality and efficiency.
The CNC Programmer collaborates with machinists, engineers, and quality team members to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and meet production schedules while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Documentation of programs, maintaining machine files, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives are also key responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Programming and troubleshooting of 3 – 5 axis milling machines, CNC lathes, and EDM.
- Proficient in the use of Master Cam effectively create efficient true 5-axis programs for machine tools.
