Security Officer - Patrol Services (Pennsauken, NJ)

As a Security Officer - Patrol Services in Pennsauken, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and deliver a welcoming customer experience.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and submitting timely notifications.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or suspicious persons, and coordinate with on-site management and public responders as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, high-traffic areas, and merchandise zones for potential loss prevention concerns, assist with customer issues, and help to deter unwanted behavior through visible presence and professional communication.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, maintain logs for patrols and key events, and support investigations by preserving observations and available information.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
