Salary Range: $24.00 - $30.00 an hour
Available Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Job DescriptionWe are hiring an Electromechanical Technician to keep our packaging and assembly lines running reliably. You will set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain a fleet of automated and semi-automated equipment in a fast‑paced, clean, light‑industrial environment.
This is a hands‑on role that blends mechanical work, basic electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting, and the disciplined habits of a Lean operation. We welcome candidates ranging from motivated entry‑level technicians with strong mechanical aptitude to mid‑level techs who can independently diagnose and repair line faults. Training on our specific equipment is provided.
Responsibilities- Support machine setups, changeovers, and product/format changes to meet the daily run schedule.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Adjust and align belts, chains, bearings, guides, cylinders, valves, and sensors to spec.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and basic electrical schematics.
- Use a multimeter and hand/power tools safely and accurately to test and adjust equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance (PMs) on schedule and log work completed.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine‑guarding, and PPE requirements without exception.
- Support 5S, standard work, and continuous‑improvement efforts on the line.
- Communicate clearly with operators, leads, and other technicians across shifts.
- Document faults, repairs, and parts used to build line history and spare‑parts needs.
- A methodical, safety‑first approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and basic prints.
- Reliable attendance and the flexibility to support production schedules.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and communicate respectfully with people of varied backgrounds and experience levels.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools.
- Basic electrical understanding — able to use a multimeter and read simple schematics, or willingness to learn quickly.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics (cylinders, valves, regulators, air supply) or demonstrated ability to learn.
- Standing and walking up to 7 hours a day
- Bending/squatting to access areas under and inside machines
- Ability to see small details and defects of different colors with naked or corrected vision
- Lifting up to 40 lbs
