Senior Accountant Opportunity

Coraopolis, Pennsylvania | Contract-to-Perm

We're excited to partner with a growing organization seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team in Coraopolis, PA. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact within a dynamic environment.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal processes, and supporting key business initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

+ Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring financial records are complete and accurate

+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support reliable financial reporting

+ Prepare and post journal entries with precision and attention to detail

+ Conduct account and bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

+ Collaborate with cross-functional team members to improve accounting processes and efficiency

+ Support audits by preparing documentation and providing clear explanations

+ Analyze financial data to identify trends and deliver actionable insights

+ Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and company policies

+ Assist with special accounting and financial reporting projects as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

+ Proven experience with accounting operations and month-end close processes

+ Strong knowledge of general ledger management and reconciliations

+ Hands-on expertise in journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations

+ Solid understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements

+ Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

+ A high level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail
