We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant. This position will be based in Iselin, NJ. Siemens works in a Hybrid approach.You will be expected to be in the office at least one day a week. You will make an impact by:
- Prepare federal consolidated return adjustments, such as intercompany eliminations and tax attributes.
- Preparation of monthly and annual income tax provisions and Provision to Return analysis using Corptax Provision.
- Review separate state corporate income tax returns prepared by outsourced provider.
- Prepare separate/consolidated/combined state corporate income tax returns, using Corptax, including state extensions and quarterly payment calculations and tax payment processing.
- Ensure the accuracy of tax returns, tax provisions, and other required reports, including retention of documentation supporting tax positions under examination by tax authorities.
- Prepare international tax returns, such as Form 5471, Form 8858, in Corptax.
- Interact with the operating company’s personnel, third-party advisors, and taxing authorities on tax provision and compliance issues.
- Proactively seeks to streamline the compliance process and to create efficiencies through automation.
- Learn the organization’s business and contribute to problem resolution when issues are identified.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Accounting required.
- 3 + years of experience in preparing/reviewing federal and state consolidated and separate corporate income tax returns.
- 3 + years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat required.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA preferred.
- Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting is a plus.
- Very strong preference for Public Accounting experience.
- Excellent organization and follow‑up skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all commitments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Corptax Software preferred SAP, Alteryx, and /or Tableau a plus.
- The pay range for this position is $73,685-$126,317 and the annual incentive is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
