Senior Staff Accountant

Robert Half has partnered with a prominent client within the construction industry who is looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their finance department. As the Senior Staff Accountant, you will perform account reconciliations, assist with the month end process, process vendor invoices, prepare and file sales and use tax, track daily accruals of income and expenses, prepare variance analysis, assist with yearly budget plan, reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare audit documentation, analyze financial reports, develop and implement revenue generating accounting processes and procedures, and prepare financial statements and reports.

The ideal candidate should have proven abilities monitoring fixed assets and strong GAAP knowledge.

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts

· Prepare general ledger transactions

· Distribute vendor 1099 forms

· Prepare financial reports and statements

· Build Strong Client Relationships

· Resolve compliance issues

· Ad hoc reporting

Requirements

The ideal Senior Staff Accountant MUST have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Senior Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:

· 5+ years of accounting experience, construction industry ideal

· Strong GAAP knowledge (payroll and tax filling experience required)

· Advanced Microsoft Excel

· MUST have construction software experience
