Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Darlington, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records. This is a Contract position, offering the opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Record and manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Process and verify invoices, payments, and expense reports efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate accounting records.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Generate detailed financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
- Manage payroll data and ensure proper filing of related documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor and customer records for seamless operations.
- Support audits by providing required financial documentation and reports.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards. Requirements - Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage confidential financial information responsibly.
- Experience with bank reconciliations and handling accounts payable and receivable.
