Accountant Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records with a strong focus on data integrity and organization
• Utilize Excel for data queries, extraction, and reporting analysis
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• The Accountant will support budgeting and financial tracking across organizational functions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable regulations
• Collaborate with leadership to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
• The Accountant will assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation as needed

What We’re Looking For in an Accountant

• 3+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit or public-sector experience preferred)
• Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, queries, and reporting functions
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining data integrity
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
