OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING CLERK ROLE

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting and data entry functions during a key system implementation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with high-volume data while gaining exposure to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes in a fast-paced environment.

ACCOUNTING CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately enter and maintain financial and project-related data within company systems

  • The Accounting Clerk will support data migration, validation, and cleanup efforts during system implementation

  • Review and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency

  • Assist with basic Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

  • The Accounting Clerk will research discrepancies and correct data entry errors

  • Maintain organized records and supporting documentation

  • The Accounting Clerk will collaborate with accounting and project teams to ensure accurate data flow

  • Generate basic reports and provide administrative support to the accounting team

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING CLERK ROLE
  • 1–3 years of accounting, data entry, or administrative experience

  • Exposure to Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Experience with Vista Viewpoint is a plus

  • Proficiency in Excel and general computer systems

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt in a changing environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
