Location: Meadow Lands

This role is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of bookkeeping and payroll service engagements, ensuring all client deliverables are completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with expectations. The position includes leadership responsibilities within the Client Accounting Services (CAS) function, with a strong emphasis on team development, client relationship management, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll service delivery while ensuring all client requirements and deadlines are consistently met
  • Lead, mentor, and support team members, including training, performance oversight, and workload coordination
  • Perform detailed reviews of financial statements prepared on both cash and accrual accounting bases on a monthly, quarterly, and annual schedule
  • Serve as a resource for resolving complex accounting issues and providing technical accounting guidance
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen ongoing relationships with both existing and prospective clients
  • Contribute to the expansion and continued development of the firm’s Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice area
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Maintain flexibility to travel to client locations when business needs require it
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; acceptable alternatives include Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
  • Minimum of 7+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, including supervisory responsibilities and involvement in scaling CAS or similar service offerings
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll administration and associated tax reporting and filings
  • Professional certifications are considered an asset but are not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting platforms such as Quick Books, Sage, and Accounting CS
  • High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail and analytical thinking ability
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively
