Staff Accountant – Cranberry Township, PA
Direct Hire, Onsite. Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing company specializing in highly engineered products for the plastics industry. With nearly 100 years of success and a strong market presence, this privately held organization offers a stable, collaborative, and family-oriented work environment.
This role provides the opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to a wide range of accounting and operational functions while partnering closely with company leadership. The Staff Accountant will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close activities, payroll processing, and administrative initiatives, while also assisting the CFO with special projects and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including billing and collections
- Assist with month‑end close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Process payroll and generate payroll‑related reports
- Support various Human Resources and administrative functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of transactions
- Collaborate with the CFO on special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvements
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and operational tasks as needed
- Accounting background with experience in AP/AR and general accounting functions
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is highly preferred
- Familiarity with payroll systems/software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Technically savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
- Detail‑oriented with strong communication and problem‑solving skills

- Typical hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with some flexibility
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Salaried, exempt position.
