Accounts Payable Clerk (Contract Role)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established organization in the construction industry to identify an Accounts Payable Clerk for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can quickly jump in to support a busy AP team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process a high volume of invoices (approximately 150-200 per day) with accuracy and efficiency

* Assist in managing and reducing a backlog of invoices (3-4 months)

* Support a large vendor base (5,000+ vendors), including handling inquiries and resolving discrepancies

* Perform vendor statement reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances

* Research and resolve purchase order (PO) and invoice matching issues

* Distribute incoming mail and invoices, ensuring timely routing and processing

* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures

Qualifications:

* 1+ years of Accounts Payable or high-volume data entry experience

* Experience handling large vendor volumes or working in a fast-paced environment preferred

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

* Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities

* Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
