Tax Manager | Corporate

Essential Functions And Primary Duties

• Review federal and state corporate returns; review high-level corporate and partnership returns.
• Train and supervise staff, review and evaluate their work.
• Perform evaluations on lower-level staff.
• Manage compliance engagements, from budgeting to scheduling to managing staff.
• Suggest ways to improve efficiencies within the department and on engagements.
• Build and maintain client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of clients’ businesses.
• Perform research and draft memoranda on corporate tax issues.

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with a preference for study in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work and industry experience.
• Prior experience managing engagements and clients.
• Ability to work independently, and also work well with others.
• Enrolled Agent designation.
• Strong technical and broad-based advisory and client management skills.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• 3 years supervisory experience.
• Active CPA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
• Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels.
• Travel as required based on client and business needs.
• Proficiency with applicable technology.
