KCR Solutions are pleased to be partnering with an established and ambitious accountancy firm in Cramlington as they look to expand their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing practice where you will take ownership of your own portfolio, work directly alongside the Directors, and contribute to both client success and the wider development of the firm.

With the business entering an exciting phase of growth, there is genuine scope to take on increased responsibility and progress your career.

This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role with a strong focus on both technical delivery and advisory support.

Key responsibilities:
  • Managing your own portfolio and preparing statutory and management accounts
  • Supporting the firm’s growth through involvement in business development activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure all work is delivered accurately, on time, and within budget
  • Working closely with clients to enhance and refine their internal accounting systems and processes
  • Reviewing and analysing KPIs and financial performance data
  • Training and supporting clients on accounting software and best practice bookkeeping
  • Delivering bespoke system and process improvement projects
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Producing financial information for client board meetings and supporting ad hoc assignments
  • Providing regular, value‑added advice with a strong emphasis on the advisory side of the role
You will:
  • Be qualified or actively studying towards an accountancy qualification
  • Have experience working within a UK‑based accountancy practice (ideally SME environment)
  • Demonstrate strong organisation, time management, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and a client‑focused approach
  • Be adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working across a varied workload
  • Have experience with multiple systems, particularly cloud accounting packages (Xero, Quick Books, Sage 50)
  • Maintain high professional standards and attention to detail
  • Show a commitment to continuous development and learning
