Staff Accountant

Job Overview

The Staff Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close. This role reports to the Accounting Manager or Controller and plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities
• Perform balance sheet, bank, and general ledger account reconciliations
• Assist with AP, AR, and payroll-related entries as needed
• Support preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements
• Analyze financial data and research variances or discrepancies
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
• Assist with audit requests, tax filings, and internal controls
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
