Fiscal Assistant

Provide backup to the Accounts Payable, Receivable, Purchasing, and Payroll Specialists. Position Information:
Part-time, no benefits 261 work days per year Minimum Starting Salary $19.20/hour, salary is determined based on experience. Serve as backup for the district Accounts Receivable function, to include receiving and preparing deposits for all incoming school district monies and entering data on receipts and deposits into CSIU accounting software. Serve as backup for the district Accounts Payable function, to include receiving and preparing check / ACH payments for all incoming school district invoices, and entering data on expenditures into CSIU accounting software.

Serve as backup to the Payroll Specialist, including biweekly processing of payroll. Handle smaller fund bank account reconciliations such as Money Markets, Student Activity, Flex, etc. Record transactions related to the Hospitalization Fund. Establish/maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all duties. Stay up to date with knowledge of board policy, real estate tax laws, and assessments. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Three (3) years of experience in or bookkeeping. Associate degree in Accounting. Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the PA School Code) Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
