About the RoleThe Corporate Controller is responsible for leading all accounting operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting. This is a hands‑on leadership position with ownership of the monthly close process, external audit, technical accounting, internal controls, tax coordination, and accounting team development.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an Audit Manager or Assistant Controller looking to step into a senior leadership role.
What You'll Do- Lead all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Cost Accounting.
- Own and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Manage the company’s annual external audit from planning through completion.
- Oversee technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Coordinate corporate tax activities with external advisors.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial reporting processes.
- Lead multi‑entity consolidations and lender reporting.
- Drive process improvements and support ERP initiatives.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team while partnering with Finance and operational leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and private industry
- Experience leading the monthly close process
- Experience owning the company side of an external audit
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting
- Leadership experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to commute to the Philadelphia metropolitan area
- Public accounting background from a national or large regional firm
- Multi‑location business, industrial services, manufacturing, or distribution experience
- ERP implementation or process improvement experience
- Executive visibility with direct partnership to the CFO
