Accounting Specialist
Wexford, PA 15090
$25–$30/hour
A growing healthcare services organization is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounts receivable and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong accounting foundation with the opportunity to grow into a Staff Accountant position.
Overview of the Accounting Specialist Role- Post and apply daily cash receipts
- The Accounting Specialist will manage billing and accounts receivable transactions
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
- The Accounting Specialist will assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries related to revenue and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate financial records and support internal controls
- The Accounting Specialist will assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree)
- 2+ years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting career
