Senior Accountant

A client of ours is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract role to join their growing accounting team. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within a complex corporate accounting environment and be proficient with SAP and Black Line.

• Execute and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across multiple entities.
• Perform lease accounting activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
• Utilize SAP for general ledger, reporting, and financial analysis activities.
• Leverage Black Line for account reconciliations, transaction matching, and close management processes.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation and analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams on accounting-related initiatives and projects.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
