Construction Accountant

Our client, a well-established construction company, is looking for a Construction Accountant to support project accounting, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. What You'll Do:

• Assist with project accounting and help monitor the financial performance of active construction projects.
• Support Work-in-Process (WIP) reporting and project cost tracking.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure accurate job costing and financial reporting.
• Process vendor invoices and support the accounts payable function.
• Assist with customer billing, accounts receivable, and collections as needed.
• Reconcile accounts and support month-end close activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and help improve accounting processes.
• Learn construction accounting best practices while developing your expertise in project-based accounting.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Accounting experience in the construction industry is required.
• Familiarity with Work-in-Process (WIP) accounting or job costing is required.
• Experience with accounts payable is preferred, while accounts receivable experience is an added bonus.
• Exposure to Procore, Sage, Timber Scan, or similar construction accounting software is helpful but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
